Welcome to the Walking Group

Picture
We are residents, families and friends from the parish of Granby cum Sutton in Nottinghamshire who regularly meet in a different village in the Vale of Belvoir for a convivial walk, usually on the third Sunday of each month.

Our walks take a circular route of approximately 6 miles along public footpaths and bridleways at an easy pace and usually have an escape route for those wishing to make an early exit. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join us but owners should note that many of our walks are on footpaths through fields which may have grazing cattle. Routes vary from month to month and take into consideration the prevailing weather at the time. Public Rights of Way in our parish are shown here.

Dates are published online in the Parish diary of events and the route is published  one week in advance.  Map credits and small print are also found on that page. So what are you waiting for? We would be happy to see you on our next walk.

Monthly Walk

The next walk is on Sunday 16 July. Meeting at the Wheel pub in Branston NG32 1RU for a 10:30 start. There is parking on the main street in Branston village. The route takes us to Croxton Kerriel and includes some moderate uphill walking. The Wheel has been getting good reviews of late and has just been awarded Vale pub of the year. You will need to book if you are lunching - 01476 248165.
