Granby Ladies Thursday Club
All about us!

Granby Ladies Thursday Club is a group of around 30 local ladies, who gather together on the last Thursday evening of each month, at 7.30pm in Granby Village Hall, to enjoy each other’s company, and to perhaps learn a new skill or hear a presentation from someone interesting.

Our membership is £8 per annum, payable in April. In addition we usually charge £2 for each event, which also covers the cost of your first glass of wine.  If we have a more ‘expensive’ evening, with visiting speaker, supper etc., we will ask the ladies to pay perhaps around £6 for those events.  Again your first glass of wine is included.  Soft drinks are also always available. Payment can be made by BACS or in cash on the night.

During the evenings additional wine is supplied, at £1 per glass, with an ‘honesty’ box in operation.

Most months we will hold a small raffle, tickets at £1 each, the proceeds of which go towards covering the cost of the hall hire etc.  Any suitable raffle prizes are always welcome.

Our Annual General Meeting is held each January, when we report back to our members on the activities of the previous year, advise on our financial status, and gain suggestions for future events.  Should anyone wish to join the committee they are welcome to come forward.

We hope this gives you a broad idea of what GLTC is all about and look forward to welcoming you to our evenings.
