VILLAGE HALL

Village Hall

The village hall was once the parish school and is located on Sutton Lane in Granby. It is now owned and administered by the parish council. The building has two function rooms, modern kitchen, and toilet facilities. The building is licensed for 100 people standing or 50 people seated.

At the rear of the Village Hall for community use at no cost are;
  • a children's play area, including swings and other play equipment.
  • a small area for football or other games.
  • outdoor fitness equipment for adults over 1.4 metres in height

The Village Hall is available to hire for a modest fee. Many of the local organisations, clubs, and societies make use of it for meetings or classes. If you would like to check availability and book the Village Hall, you can do so by telephoning or emailing the Parish Clerk. Hire conditions and charges can be read through the links below.

Playground and Outdoor Gym.

The Playground is located just behind the Village Hall on Sutton Lane and is managed by the Parish Council.  Whilst regular safety inspections are undertaken, all equipment should be checked by a responsible adult who shall also be responsible for its safe use by themselves and those in their care.

Outdoor Fitness Equipment

Granby cum Sutton Parish Council used a grant from the Big Lottery Fund to install adult outdoor exercise equipment behind the Village Hall in the Summer of 2017. The award, supported by players of the National Lottery will enable adult members of the community to improve their fitness locally without having to travel. Thanks #NationalLottery. If you want to familiarize yourself on how to use the equipment, a video can be found through the links below.
